Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the KinoRack website and mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

KinoRack lets you catalog and manage your personal media collection — for example, the movies you own on disc or digitally. The Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the catalog information, notes, ratings, and other content you add to KinoRack (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to store it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempting to access other users’ data, no reverse engineering or disrupting the Service, no unlawful, infringing, or harmful use, and no use of automated systems to overload or scrape the Service.

5. Third-Party Data and Services

KinoRack relies on third-party services, including TMDB for movie metadata and barcode/UPC lookup providers for product matching. That data is provided by those third parties “as is.” This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The KinoRack name, logo, and the software and design of the Service are owned by KinoRack and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that catalog data will be accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinoRack and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
