Information We Collect
Account information: when you sign up we collect your email address and authentication details through our authentication provider. Catalog data: the movies, editions, ratings, notes, and other details you add to your library. Usage data: basic technical information needed to operate the app, such as device and diagnostic data.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, authenticate you, store and sync your catalog, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Service Providers
We share information with trusted providers that help us run KinoRack, only as needed to provide the Service: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and storage), and our hosting provider for the website and API. We also retrieve movie metadata from TMDB and product information from barcode/UPC lookup providers based on your searches and scans.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on our providers’ secured infrastructure and protected by access controls so that you can only access your own catalog. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
